Add these important deadlines to your calendar. Check your GT email regularly all semester for vital Commencement updates and information.
- Summer email registration: Monday, June 10 - Friday, Aug. 2
- Deadlines for ordering academic regalia:
- Custom Ph.D. regalia deadline: Friday, Oct. 4
- Rental Ph.D. regalia deadline: Friday, Nov. 1
- Bachelor's and Master's regalia deadline: Friday, Nov 15
- Deadline to RSVP to walk in the Commencement ceremony (required): Opens October
- Deadline to Submit Early or Late Walk Request (if applicable): Opens September
- Start of guest ticket distribution via email: November
- Commencement ceremonies: Thursday, Dec. 12 – Saturday, Dec. 14

Order Your Regalia by the Deadline
- All graduates are required to wear approved Georgia Tech regalia to participate in Commencement.
- Purchase regalia at Grad Fest, Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech, or online at techstuff.gatech.edu.
- Custom Ph.D. regalia deadline: Friday, Oct. 4.
- Rental Ph.D. regalia deadline: Friday, Nov. 1
- Bachelor's and Master's regalia deadline: Friday, Nov. 15
Before October 15
Confirm Your Diploma Mailing Address
- Check your diploma mailing address in OSCAR three weeks prior to Commencement.
- For mailing address updates, email diplomas@registrar.gatech.edu.
Before Your Ceremony Date
Download Your GradPass
- All students attending the ceremony are required to have a GradPass.
- This is your virtual name card that calls and displays your name at the ceremony.
- It is not a ticket for guests.
- GradPasses become available in December in students' MarchingOrder accounts (this is the account you created when you RSVP'd).
Access your GradPass by following these steps:
- Log into Marching Order.
- Click "Print GradPass."
- Confirm graduate name and ceremony information are correct.
- Print and take a screenshot of your GradPass to avoid issues at the ceremony.

Know What to Do on Commencement Day
- Enter McCamish Pavilion through the Zelnak Basketball Practice Center 30 minutes prior to your ceremony start time.
- The entrance to Zelnak is behind McCamish Pavilion, where E65 parking lot is located
- Wear your regalia; no extras will be available at the venue.
- Avoid bringing personal items. If you must have a bag, make it clear (medical bags excepted). Review the clear bag policy.
- Sit with your college; seats are not assigned.
- You will be guided to the stage row by row; there is no formal processional.
- Present your GradPass to the Events team before going on stage (Tip: Have a screenshot ready).
- Your name will be announced and displayed on the jumbotron as you receive your faux diploma from the president.
- Get photographed by GradImages before returning to your seat.

Take Your Graduation Photos
- GradImages will photograph each Commencement event and ceremony and email photo proofs one week later. Purchase photos on their website.
- Get your cap and gown portraits taken at Grad Fest.
- Capture personal memories at campus photo hot spots.
