Save These Important Dates
Add these important deadlines to your calendar. Check your GT email regularly all semester for vital Commencement updates and information.
- Deadline to RSVP to walk in the Commencement ceremony (required): Closed on Friday, March 21.
- Early and Late Walk applications closed on Friday, March 14.
- Purchase your regalia.
- Start of guest ticket distribution via email: Week of April 14.
- Commencement ceremonies: Thursday, May 1 – Saturday, May 3.
Before Your Ceremony Date
Order Your Regalia by the Deadline
- All graduates are required to wear approved Georgia Tech regalia to participate in Commencement.
- Purchase regalia at Grad Fest, Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech, or online at techstuff.gatech.edu.
- Custom Ph.D. regalia deadline: Sunday, Feb. 23
- Rental Ph.D. regalia deadline: Sunday, March 23
- Bachelor's and Master's regalia deadline: Wednesday, April 2
Confirm Your Diploma Mailing Address
- Check your diploma mailing address in OSCAR three weeks prior to Commencement.
- For mailing address updates, email diplomas@registrar.gatech.edu.
Download Your Stage Pass
- Stage Passes will be available for download in your Tassel account starting on Monday, April 21.
- All students attending the ceremony are required to have a Stage Pass.

Guidebook is a great way to get more information about your ceremony and to set your Commencement weekend schedule! The Spring Commencement Guidebook will be available for download two weeks prior to ceremony.
On Your Commencement Day
Prior to Your Arrival
- Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your ceremony start.
- Ph.D. and Bachelor's graduates will enter McCamish Pavilion through the Zelnak Basketball Practice Center, located in the back of McCamish Pavilion.
- Master's graduates will enter Bobby Dodd through the Callaway Plaza tunnel, located next to Gate 6.
- Wear your regalia; regalia will not be available for purchase at the venue.
- Avoid bringing personal items. If you must have a bag, make it clear (medical bags excepted). Review the clear bag policy.
During the Ceremony
Bachelor and Doctorate Students
- Graduates will be recognized by college prior to the President conferring degrees.
- You will be guided to the stage row by row in the order you seat yourself.
- Present your Stage Pass to the Events team before going on stage (Tip: Have a screenshot ready).
- Your name will be announced and displayed on the jumbotron as you receive your faux diploma from the president.
- Get photographed by GradImages before returning to your seat.
Master's Students
- During the ceremony, your college dean will ask your entire college to stand to be recognized.
- At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will proceed to their college graduation celebration where they will be individually recognized.
Graduates will use the same Stage Pass at their college ceremony to have their name announced and displayed.
Before You Leave
Take Your Graduation Photos
- GradImages will photograph each Commencement ceremony and email photo proofs one week later. Purchase photos on their website.
- Get your cap and gown portraits taken at Grad Fest.
- Capture personal memories at campus photo hot spots.
