Join the volunteer team to assist with this semester's ceremonies. The Georgia Tech Commencement Office is looking for enthusiastic faculty and staff who want to take part in one of the biggest days for Georgia Tech students.

What to Expect

  • Volunteers serve a three hour shift.
  • Duties often include assisting guests, providing directions, and managing crowds.
  • Volunteers are required to attend one training session. Virtual and in-person sessions will be available.
  • Volunteers will receive an "Ask Me" button, a volunteer lanyard, and a Commencement FAQ sheet. 

What to Wear and Bring

  • Wear Business casual with comfortable shoes. White, gold, and navy colors are encouraged.
  • Bring a water bottle and jacket.
  • Limit personal items in order to keep the Volunteer Room organized for the event.
  • Volunteers will receive an "Ask Me" button, a volunteer lanyard, and a Commencement FAQ sheet. 
     

What to Know

  • All volunteers report two hours prior to ceremony start.
  • Review training materials and event emails prior to arrival.
  • Parking instructions will be emailed the week prior to the event.
