11 a.m.: Networking 101: Mastering LinkedIn, In-Person, and Online Networking virtual event — Networking is the best way job seekers find positions, but how do you do it? Learn how to approach people, types of networking, and overall tips to get started. Register here for this virtual event.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Grad Fest Day, Northside Room 3245, John Lewis Student Center

Get excited for Fall Commencement at Grad Fest Day! Take advantage of this one-stop shop for all of your Commencement needs. While at the event, you can:

  • RSVP for Commencecment.
  • Purchase your regalia online at a discounted rate for pickup at the Barnes & Noble at Georgia Tech. Representatives from Oak Hall will be on-site to help you figure out the perfect regalia size for you to purchase.
  • Take professional cap and gown photos by GradImages with your purchased regalia. Graduate portraits can be purchased after the event. 
  • Learn more about ordering your class ring from Balfour.
  • All regalia purchases made on Monday, Feb. 26, until Friday, March 1, are automatically entered into a raffle for a Barnes & Noble at Georgia Tech alumni gift basket.
  • Receive a coupon for Georgia Tech merchandise at the Barnes & Noble at Georgia Tech.
  • 11 a.m.: Workplace Rights, Accommodations, and Disclosing Your Disability – Employer Panel virtual event — Join us for an enlightening panel discussion tailored for university students eager to explore the dynamics of the modern workplace. Our distinguished panel of employers will delve into crucial aspects of workplace inclusivity, focusing on rights, accommodations, and the process of disclosing a disability. Register here to join this virtual event.

Noon: PhD Career Series: Negotiating Your Job Offer — Inside and Outside Academia
virtual event — Learn how to evaluate and negotiate job offers effectively for both industry and academic jobs for Ph.D. students. Gain the confidence and skills needed to make an informed career decision. Register here to join.

2 p.m.: Interviewing for Federal Jobs virtual event — Join a representative of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to learn guidelines and tips to help you prepare for federal interviews. After attending this session, participants will be better equipped to get ready for and engage in successful interviews for federal jobs. We will cover actions you should take before, during, and after the interview. Also, you will learn about the kinds of interview methods used by federal agencies, as well as the types of questions that may be asked during the interview and how best to respond. Register here to join.

This is not a required event. You can accomplish most of these activities outside of Grad Fest by contacting the vendors below. Students who order regalia online during Grad Fest week are eligible for the raffle. This also is the only opportunity for graduating students to take cap and gown photos.
