Early Walk Participation Request

Students who will have two or less courses remaining in their final semester, and who are in good academic standing, may request to participate one semester early. Early walks are granted on a case-by-case basis as space allows. We are currently only accepting early walk requests from those who will graduate in Spring 2027.

Early Walk Policy

Prior to completing this form, students must complete a Graduation Application in OSCAR for their graduating semester.

Ceremony participation is not guaranteed. The Early Walk participation request deadline for Fall 2026 is October 30. Students will be notified of their final decision by November 6.
We are only accepting applications for Fall 2026 at this time (those who wish to apply for early walk in Spring 2027 will fill out the form in January 2027).

Approved early walks should expect the following changes:

• Early walks will receive the same ticket allotment as current semester graduates.
• Early walks will not be able to RSVP prior to approval.
• Early walks will not be listed in the Commencement program. All students are listed in their graduating semester's program.
• Early walks will not receive honor cords.
• All students will have their name called and displayed as they walk across stage.
