Recognition of Degree Candidates

All students will be recognized individually on stage. Students are announced by college, then major, from youngest to oldest program. Colleges are announced in the following order: College of Computing, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, College of Design, Scheller College of Business, College of Sciences, College of Engineering.

Doctoral candidates who attend the ceremony will receive their diplomas on stage.  Master’s and bachelor’s candidates will receive a memento as they walk across the stage. The Registrar's Office will mail diplomas six to eight weeks after the ceremony.

All graduates will have a photo opportunity as they proceed off stage and back to their seats. For information on how to obtain photos taken during the ceremony, visit the Announcements and Memorabilia page.

Out of respect for your fellow graduates, we ask that students remain in their seat for the entire ceremony.

Exiting the Ceremony

Ph.D. students will not have a formal recessional.

Master's and bachelor's students will be led out of the ceremony and will exit McCamish Pavilion through either the west entrance off of Fowler Street or Zelnak Gym behind the facility. Be sure to take all of your belongings, as there is no re-entry into the building. Please make arrangements with their guests prior to the ceremony on where to meet outside the building after the event.

The building will close 30 minutes after the conclusion of the ceremony. No re-entry is permitted.
